Brian Griffin, affectionately known by his friends and family as Skitor. Is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. A military veteran, Skitor served our country in the United States Marine Core. For 8 years while in active duty, he worked as a cook. After cooking with his grandmother in the kitchen for most of his life, he found his passion in the kitchen. After leaving the military, he met his wife Keon and relocated to New Orleans where he fell in love with the New Orleans style seafood boil.

The family environment of seafood boils combined with the years of kitchen experience deemed Skitor the designated cook for the family gatherings. After a great response from their family, which can be your hardest critics, we decided to officially start Skitor’s Boiling Pots in 2015. Initially beginning with pop-up locations at a night club in New Orleans, we eventually grew to catered events such as birthday parties, bridal showers, engagement parties, kids parties, retirement parties and family reunions. Together with his wife Keon, son Braxton and his uncle-in-law Rickie, Skitor’s Boilng Pots have done pop ups in Baton Rouge, Slidell, Atlanta and New Orleans. Skitor loves to cook but mostly enjoys mingling with people and watching them enjoy what he does.

Today, Skitor is a loving father and husband and is dedicated to building his family business. He believes that through hard work and determination that anything is possible. Skitor would love to expand his pop-up and catering business to food trucks and festivals. He would like to see Skitor’s Crab Boil special seasoning mix in stores all around the world. Skitor believes his secret recipe is just that good. In the words of Uncle Rickie, who helps run the family business, “We are not just the name New Orleans, we are actually the flavor.”
